The Desert Miracle was the name given to Emirates Golf Club, Dubai, when it became the first all-grass championship golf course in the Gulf region, way back in 1988. And so it remains to this day, even though many have followed in its footsteps. His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s brainchild still inspires awe amongst all who play its verdant green golf courses, as well as those who simply visit its unique and ageless clubhouse.
That agelessness is derived from the original design, which reflects a Bedouin tented village with seven gleaming white concrete and glass structures. This is complemented by the natural look of the off-course areas of the golf course, where desert flora and fauna have flourished and established themselves over the years.
