About Us

Women’s Golf Middle East has been established to enhance participation, excellence, capacity and interaction in golf for Women in the Middle East with the support of the Emirates Golf Federation.

Women’s Golf Middle East aim to enrich the lives of women in the Region, connecting them to learn, play and enjoy golf, while serving the needs of both its membership and the golf public through professional golf development programmes and competitive events, focusing on introduction to the game all the way to preparing the best women golfers to compete on the international stage.

WG-ME delivers a wide range of golf, social and networking activities for new and experienced golfers. A welcoming environment, golf education and player development, organized play programmes, unique golf experiences, and numerous discounts and savings are part of the many benefits of WG-ME Membership.

Our mission is to grow participation in and passion for the sport while upholding the integrity and traditions of the game, as we believe that the future of golf is best served by closely observing and enforcing theses traditions and rules.

We are passionate about the game and delight in promoting it at every opportunity. We are team players, openly involving our members as well as organizations, golf clubs, professional and amateur golfers and others in initiatives and decisions that will affect the game of which we are all a part.

Our Sponsors and Associated Partners can depend on us to knowledgeably, professionally and proactively build interest in, and excitement around the game of golf in the Middle East.

Women’s Golf Middle East acknowledges the important role that many other golf organizations play in the development of a healthy and vibrant sport.

The WG-ME framework is based on the future growth of Women’s Golf in the Region taking into consideration what the players have a desire for, to determine the appropriate balance of fun, practice, training, coaching and competition to ensure that golf remains a lifelong passion for the many, not just a competitive goal for the few.

WG-ME will also be focusing on introducing golf to as many women players as possible. This will be done through WG-ME golf clinics in association with other Golf Academies in the Middle East for the development of a golf curriculum that can be offered to women and help build an exciting and dynamic future for golf in this country, helping to produce the next generation of UAE women golfers for international competition.

The involvement of Women’s Golf Middle East will enhance the pathway to success for new players as they progress from the initiation phase through to participation at golf facilities and to acquire the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to lead healthy, active lives and enjoy success in all levels of sport participation.

Statistically, women are the largest new group coming to the game of golf today. Yet, often frustrated with their skill-set, they are also the largest group that leaves the game and does not return. Women want to know the best courses to play where they can maximize their playing experience.

The game of golf is an ideal networking tool because it reaches into so many areas of interest and offers something for everyone. It can even become a cause, and if you are the driving force behind, say, a charity fundraising tournament, your network can significantly expand.

Meeting and mingling with the right people can lead to an ever-expanding network of professional and social contacts, new business, personal growth and unexpected opportunities.

“It’s a matter of putting together people who have something in common – Golf – who  might not otherwise get together at all. And it’s always fun.”

Many other networkers say golf gives them a huge advantage in establishing new relationships and maintaining existing ones. Unlike other sports, golf provides a noise-free, interruption-free, one-on-one environment. Whether it’s an 18-hole round or a shorter nine-hole outing or just hitting balls on the driving range, it’s quality bonding and business-building time.

Gaining better access to and familiarity with this wonderful lifetime sport that not only encourages physical activity but a very strong sense of core values.
